Aut Even Hospital provides an inpatient and outpatient service covering all medical diets for optimum patient health. In-patients at the Hospital are given nutritional and dietetics advice that is specific to their medical condition.

Our Senior Dietitian, Rachel O’Reilly, specialises in the following:

  • Bowel disorders (especially irritable bowel syndrome)
  • Coeliac disease
  • Diabetes
  • Weight and cholesterol management

A referral letter from GP/Consultant is not required to access this service but it ican be useful for the purpose of obtaining details related to a patient’s health history. Any recent bloods or a copy of tests pertaining to the patient’s medical condition may also be helpful in assessment.

The first consultation may take up to 50 minutes with a follow up review appointment usually taking about 20 minutes.
