Clinical Specialist Radiographer RIS/PACS Manager

This is a new positon within the Hospital. The role of the Clinical Specialist Radiographer PACS Manager will be responsible for the introduction of the Agfa System within the Radiology Department of Aut Even Hospital. The PACS Manager will support the provision of an efficient, effective and caring Radiography and Imaging service in line with the Hospital’s Radiology Steering Committee.

During and following the implementation of the Agfa System the manager will be responsible for managing the distribution, storage and the display of diagnostic images within the diagnostic imaging department and throughout the whole hospital and will have a role providing RIS/PACS training to radiology and hospital staff according to their respective needs.

Criteria:
• CORU registration or in process of registration
• Have at minimum of 3 years post graduate radiography experience.
• Knowledge and proven experience of RIS/PACS installation and Management, Medi-web, CR and DR systems and associated technology
• A proficiency in other computing and digital technology areas
• Have considerable experience in change management and experience influencing change across a diverse group of disciplines.
• Excellent IT skills
• Be an excellent communicator
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Be flexible to rotate into The Radiology Department

This is a new and exciting role within the Hospital and is forecast to grow and develop over time.

Assistant Director of Nursing
Full Time (37.5 hrs per week + on call)

Purpose of the post:

The successful candidate will work alongside the Director of Nursing to provide leadership and support to the nursing and multi-professional teams in an acute hospital setting ensuring the smooth running of the patient journey from the out-patient setting through to discharge.

The Assistant Director of Nursing role models service excellence which assures patient centered care. He/she participates in performance improvement, clinical governance and accreditation activities; maintains professional practice standards; and demonstrates leadership and management skills.

Eligible Criteria:
• Be registered, or eligible for registration in the General Division of the live Register of Nurses kept by NMBI.
• Must have three to five years’ experience in a Nurse Management capacity.
• A post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and have a knowledge of the nursing models of care.
• A thorough knowledge of accreditation processes, experience working with JCI standards is advantageous.
• Have the ability to manage one’s own workload effectively while responding flexibly to
new demands at short notice and must have the ability to manage diverse issues on a daily basis.
• Have the ability to build and maintain working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders possessing excellent people, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate evidence-based decision making and work according to best practice.
• Demonstrate an in-depth awareness of HR policies and procedures.
• Have experience leading continuous improvement programmes and be able to demonstrate experience leading change.

We are seeking a hands-on IT manager with a track record of aligning the IT strategy with the organizations strategic vision. The successful candidate must have experience and be comfortable working in an evolving healthcare environment. In this role you will ensure that the small IT Team provides a reliable, robust and secure environment supporting IT applications and infrastructure across the site.

Eligible Criteria

• Relevant third level qualification in Information Technology or a related field
• Formal project management qualifications such as Prince 2 or PMP is advantageous.
